Frame a Tiny Pumpkin
What do you do with those teeny tiny little frames? I bought three of them at a close-out sale a few years ago because they were so pretty and antique and French-looking. And because I have three children and had full intentions of putting their sweet faces into these frames.
Some frames are just too small for actual pictures though. Like these ones. So they sat empty for at least two years.
I was inspired one day to try something different.
A tiny felt pumpkin with teeny little stitches. I mounted it on a torn bit of dictionary paper.
Such a simple and quick project but I think it's the perfect solution to this tiny frame. They look like they were meant to be together.
Now I just need to decide what to make for the other two.
Any suggestions?

Oh my gosh this is so adorable! Yes I have like a dozen baby frames that have no practical purpose other than they were 1) cute and 2) inexpensive. You have provided some inspiration for me -thanks for sharing!! Jennifer
ReplyDeleteHey Jennifer, so glad to be a source of inspiration :) I got tired of staring at empty frames, lol! I don't really even do any hand-sewing but this was super-easy and felt is very forgiving!! Thanks for stopping by to comment :)
DeleteThis is just gorgeous. Reminds of little pieces of art my Grandma and Mother used to make. Thank you for sharing! I may need to try it!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much; I'm honored that it takes you back to yesteryear :) You really should try one, it was quite simple to make!!
DeleteIs there anybody that doesn't have some little frames like yours? At least crafters anyway. Love what you did with yours, adorable and so decorative. Would make really cute little place markers at a Fall dinner. Or make them Christmasy. So many ideas could come from your little project, inspiration. Happy weekend.
ReplyDeleteI know, right?? Usually they just gather dust b/c we buy them and then don't use them! I love the idea of place markers...now I wish I'd bought more :)
DeleteI love this. I'm pinning also. Just darling. I'm going to try to make this also. Come share if you can. Linda
