Favorite Projects of the Year
As Christmas quickly approaches, I want to wish you a very Merry Christmas and blessed New Year! Diy beautify would be nothing without loyal followers and I am honored to have you following along!
I thought it would be fun to take a little look back at our favorite projects of 2016.
1. PAINTED CABINET
There's nothing better than paint to transform a room or a piece of furniture! This hand-me-down cabinet was functional but looking a little dreary until it got a fresh coat of robin's egg blue paint...a custom mix! You can read all about it here.
2. CRAFT OFFICE SPACE REVEAL
I didn't get to enjoy this space for long before we moved, but I am looking forward to carving out a similar space in our new home where I can work on crafts and write my blog. I really liked the functionality of this office space, organized by color. You can read all the details here, including links to the projects I worked on and a fabulous product that will keep your rugs in place!
3. BUDGET BATHROOM MAKEOVER
Saving money and doing projects on a budget is important to me, and this post was proof that even with a tiny little budget of only $100, you can completely change the look of a room. This chocolate brown bathroom was updated with fresh paint, new flooring and I share how to update a light fixture with spray paint and mason jars...one of my favorite projects! Read all about it here.
4. FARMHOUSE WREATH
You guys LOVED this little farmhouse wreath and I completely get it! It's not only full of farmhouse charm, but it can also be created for less than $10 and in under 30 minutes! You can find the tutorial here.5. DISTRESSED CRATE
Last, but certainly not least, I shared how to age and distress a plain crate with stain and stencils. It's a great way to add character and farmhouse charm, not to mention texture, to your home. You can find that tutorial here.2016 was a productive year and I'm proud of what we accomplished.
What's new for 2017?
Well, we're settling into our new home in the beautiful state of Texas and there are lots of DIY projects, room makeovers, craft tutorials and home decorating ahead.
2017 is the year when shiplap will happen somewhere in my home (I might already have a room in mind!) I promise lots of paint updates, makeover tips, craft tutorials and hopefully even some videos!
I'm super excited to improve my photography after Santa brings me a new DSLR camera for Christmas (fingers and toes crossed)!
Merry Christmas friends!
bringing beauty to the ordinary,
