Pray for Texas
What a difference a day makes!
I am sitting at the window, staring out at blue skies and the most beautiful sunshine! The first time we've seen the sun in a week.
However, the worst is not over as we are being told to expect much flooding in our area as the swollen and over-full rivers, bayous and other waterways make their way downstream...the next 24-36 hours are critical.
We are not sure what to expect, maybe a week of being stranded in our home while our street is flooded? Another week of the kids home from school? We just don't know.
We are an hour south of the devastation in Houston, and my heart is broken over what people have been through, and the recovery period still ahead! The friends who evacuated and now can't get back home.
I was so torn as I sat down to write this post.
What do I say?
So many of us feel helpless in the wake of this tragedy, wanting to help but unsure how.
If your heart is heavy and you want to make a difference, I'm asking you to make a donation to the relief efforts. Here are links to reputable disaster relief organizations where your money will have the biggest impact! Please give what you are able.

I have so many fun fall projects to share with you, but to be honest, my heart is just not in it!
