I'm sharing lots of ideas to creating simple farmhouse fall decor for a cozy home because don't we all need a little more cozy in our lives?!

I wasn't planning to post a fall tour this year. But here's the thing. I've been taking a photography course and experimenting with all the things I'm learning. And low and behold, I have a ton of beautiful fall home images that just need to be shared, right? I don't want to keep them to myself!
If you are struggling with photography, I highly, highly recommend Photographing Interiors by Rachel Pax. She has helped me to understand the relationship between the 3 elements of the exposure triangle, and my images are credit! Up to this point, I struggled to get bright enough images in our home because most of our rooms are fairly dark. I'm not getting paid anything to recommend Rachel's course, but it has helped me tremendously in understanding how to control light and create bright and beautiful images!
Believe it or not, about 90% of my blog images have been taken with my phone camera. I have to do a lot of editing to make them bright and crisp. But now, I'm getting beautiful images from my Nikon D-5500 and post-processing is so much faster because there's not a lot that needs tweaking!
Okay, on to my fall home tour. If you follow me on Instagram, you've probably seen most of these images on my feed already. Every year I try something just a little bit different, without going out and buying all new stuff. This year, I love the combination of blue with orange...you'll see!
I will link to specific projects below the image so you can reference those tutorials, as well as some of my favorite products in my home.
Fall Decor in the Kitchen
A sweet vintage throw and lots of pillows adds to the cozy factor in our breakfast nook.
I painted this pumpkin canvas in my pre-blogger days, and still love it! The white cutting boards were Target Dollar Spot finds that I white washed (don't worry, they are decoration only!).
I keep saying I am DONE with Rae Dunn...until I find another piece 😕 Send help!
painted coffee cabinet (you have to see the dark and ugly before!)
Fall Decor in the Dining Room
My ruffled table runner is a reader favorite; so much so that I'll probably need to make another one and share the tutorial! It's easy and affordable because it's made from drop cloth. The neutral color is really perfect for every season...and the ruffles are just that sweet something extra!Fall Decor in the Sunroom
For some, the kitchen is the heart of the home. Our kitchen is pretty small, but the sunroom...oh the sunroom! Everyone should have a sunroom! This has become one of our favorite spaces with the driftwood walls, the affordable farmhouse floors and cottage style with the painted dresser and vintage daybed. A favorite spot for napping, reading, coffee-sipping and puppy-cuddling!Fall Decor in the Living Room
This room is off the sunroom; in fact, they share the large, double-sided fireplace that I whitewashed last year (I still can't get over that transformation)! We have done a lot to brighten this formerly dark space, including painting the dark wood paneling and wall of built-ins, and removing the carpet and installing farmhouse floors. It's worth the work when you spend a lot of time in a space!Fall Decor in the Sitting Room
