help you whip your yard into shape and add some fun color while you're at it!
I shared my
DIY Flag Banner
a few days ago, as part of the At Home DIY group that I belong to. We are a
hard-working group of DIY bloggers who are partnering each month to share
projects! This month's theme was 'Outdoor Projects' and I'm sharing some of my
favorites from the round up with you today!
Here's a quick look at my project, an easy indoor/outdoor flag banner made
using canvas drop cloth. You can also ready about our easy summer porch
refresh and the shade loving plants that we added to our flower beds
here.
Let's take a closer look at my 7 favorite projects from the round up.
No. 1: Two Feet First - Pineapple Door Mat
Who doesn't love a cute doormat welcoming guests to the front door? Even
better when it's an easy DIY project and has a fun pop of color like this
pineapple! If you want to see how to make my DIY taco doormat, I shared the
tutorial
here.
No. 2: The DIY Dreamer - DIY Barn Quilt Door
I'm no stranger to DIY barn quilts. I made a huge
Ohio star barn quilt
to hang on my in-law's garage. I also made a
set of small barn quilts
for a wall in my home. You can click on the links to see my tutorial, but I
love this idea of adding barn quilts to an old chippy door!
No 3: The Handyman,s Daughter - DIY Vertical Wall Planter
If gardening is more your style, especially if you're tight on patio space,
check out this project! I love how it uses vertical space so you literally
grow a garden on a wall!
No. 4: Living Letter Home - Mailbox Makeover
Even a mailbox deserves attention! We will be using this tutorial to update
our mailbox sometime this summer! I especially appreciate the home numbers
being visible and you know my love of black and white!
No. 5: My Kitchen My Craft - Outdoor DIY Sconces
Want to add a little bling to your outdoor patio? These adorable sconces are a
great recycle project!
No. 6: Shine Your Light - Cedar Trellis
Another way to take advantage of vertical space is to grow a flowering vine on
a trellis! Lisa share's a great tutorial for building an easy trellis
customized to your space!
No. 7: The Frugal Homemaker - Picket Fence DIY Flag
Last but certainly not least, is this adorable HUGE flag made with fence
pickets! I love the bright color and patriotic declaration it adds to this
backyard!
What areas of your yard or outdoor space are you hoping to work on this
summer?
All wonderful ideas here! Great job! Thanks!
