Hello friend! I'm going to keep this short and sweet because I have a new
video tutorial to share with you! I bought three small pumpkins from Kroger
and painted them with copper paint.
I dry brushed a little white chalk paint for some added dimension, and I
couldn't be happier with the results! The color is rich and saturated and a
little bit glam. These little pumpkins will star in my simple fall dining room
decor, and then I can just toss them! Just look at that reflection!
If you want to create permanent copper pumpkins, just purchase small faux
pumpkins from Walmart or the dollar store and follow the same instructions in
the video!
Here are the supplies you'll need:
Supplies for Copper Pumpkins
- pumpkins (faux or live, your choice!)
- copper paint (I used this copper metallic paint, but here's another, smaller one that will work)
- foam craft brush
- small flat craft brush
- paint brush cover (I showed this in the video)
- white paint (I used this white chalk paint)
- blow dryer or heat gun to speed up the drying process
I made a short video where I share this fun and easy technique for painting
copper pumpkins!

Aren't they just amazing?
Enjoy! I'd love to know if you decide to do this easy craft! Let me know in
the comments!
your little pumpkins are adorable in their little wooden pumpkin bowl, of which I just love by the way. I see wooden bowls at thrift stores and can't help but not bring them home with me.
ReplyDeleteDon't you just love the metallic paints. I had just used the gold metallic & sprayed painted some little pumpkins as well.
Enjoy the day & have a great week end.
