Welp, we made it through another weekend! How are you doing friend? I hope your spirits are staying up through all the uncertainty!
I haven't been doing much decorating lately, but I finally took down my lighted garland from my mantle and was motivated to add a little Spring decor!
I haven't been doing much decorating lately, but I finally took down my lighted garland from my mantle and was motivated to add a little Spring decor!
Decorating a Spring Mantle
Shopping the house is how this went down! Ever since I painted our ugly red brick fireplace with chalk paint, decorating the mantle and making it look good has been so much easier! It really doesn't take much to make it look amazing, but it was ready for a little seasonal style! Something soft and bright and cottage-y feeling.
Adding Cottage Style
I kept the decor light and airy, with a lambs ear garland across the mantle, and sprigs of lambs ear tucked into a thrifted crock, along with blush peonies, dahlias and cotton. These softer colors are so inviting!
I included one of the farmhouse style spindle candlesticks I made earlier this year.
My painted mason jars are a simple touch that adds loads of style. These buffalo check painted mason jars have been used for pretty much every season because they go with everything! The small blush pink painted mason jar was new for Valentines Day, but works with this theme too!
It feels charming and cozy. I brought back in my large 'blessed' sign because that's a truth that we really need to hold on to right now! In spite of everything, we are blessed!
Pin for later!
I'm currently working on an easy DIY face mask post that is inexpensive and hope to share that later this week!

Spring fresh! I still covet your painted fire place!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much Cecilia!! Do you have a fireplace you can paint?
DeletePlease tell me where you bought the beautiful "Blessed" sign. I have looked everywhere and have not had any luck. Thanks
ReplyDeleteI bought it from smallwoodhome.com
DeleteWhat size is the blessed sign?
ReplyDeleteIt's about 4 feet wide
DeleteCould you tell me the color of your walls in that picture? It goes so well with the painted fireplace!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much! Walls are Sherwin Williams Repose Gray.
DeleteLooks stunning! Can you please tell me the length of the floating shelf? And where you got it from?
ReplyDeleteThank you! The mantel was there when we moved in, I would say it's about 6 feet long. We have since moved from that home so I can't measure it!
