Tomorrow is a brand new year and I don't think any of us will be sad to wave
goodbye to 2020.
I love the start of a new year
It's fresh. Filled with possibilities. Hope.
And we can't forget about those DIY projects and crafts waiting to be created!
I am excited for all the possibilities that exist for 2021! Here at DIY Beautify we have lots of projects in the works, and exciting things to share with you in the months ahead!
I honestly never dreamed when I started this little blog in 2013 that it
would earn a modest income to help our family with expenses and become
something I'm so passionate about!
Not only that, but the
friendships I've created along the way, and finding an online tribe of others
who share the same passion for DIY and home decor has been such a blessing!
I
love inspiring you each week, sharing easy and affordable projects to help you
create the beautiful home of your dreams!
At the end of each year,
it's so fun to take a look back at what your favorite projects were because
there are always a few surprises, and this year is no different! Let's jump in
and take a look back.

9. Staircase makeover
I was thrilled that this project made the cut because it was one of my favorite DIYs of the year! Enhancing our stairs with a fresh, darker stain and removeable wallpaper stair risers was an easy 1-day project that delivers such epic results!8. Winter dining room decor
My black and white dining room always gets a lot of comments and questions. You love my black hutch, and my large French chalkboard. You love the painted grandfather clock and the houndstooth fabric I added to our chair cushions, the neutral furnishings and my collection of white ironstone.I'm so glad because it's one of my favorite rooms too!
7. DIY eucalyptus heart shaped wreath
Eucalyptus is having its time in home decor, and this wreath was a pleasant
surprise! Inexpensive and quite easy to do, and it looks so good wherever I
hang it!
It's not only perfect for Valentines Day, it's a beautiful
wreath for anytime of the year because of its simplicity! I walked you through
the steps to making your very own!

goods, this wood pedestal is a hardworking decor staple!

my favorite product to secure the two pieces together!

just 5 easy steps! It's amazing how good dollar store supplies can look when
they're brought together into a wreath!

Another dollar store project, this inexpensive wreath was so fun to make! The wood beads and thick twine elevate a simple pizza pan to lofty heights!
I also shared a video tutorial for making the easiest removeable bow so you
could switch it out for the seasons!

3. Updating a thrifted frame with liming wax
Liming wax is the perfect solution for wood that is a touch too orange! I showed you in a video tutorial how I quickly and easily transformed a thrifted frame. The liming wax softens the color of the wood and gives it a pickled look.
I then decoupaged a printable onto the glass for a truly unique piece of
inexpensive artwork!

couldn't be easier to make with just a couple supplies. I love the shabby chic

1. Easiest way to clean stainless utensils/cutlery
I have to be honest...I'm a little shocked that a cleaning post was my #1 reader favorite post this year! Does that mean I should be sharing more cleaning posts? hmmm...you all know how I feel about dusting! 😃😒
But...when I find an easy solution to a difficult problem, you know I'm here
to share it with you! And when a cleaning post makes it onto my blog, that
means it works and it's a keeper!

bringing beauty to the ordinary,
Hi Cindy! I want to thank you so much, you did an incredibly great job that year and inspired many people, this is very important! I finally learned how to wash cutlery well, and according to your posts, my daughter and I made a lot of crafts! It can be seen what you are doing, what you love and this is the most important thing. I hope there will be more posts and interesting ideas from you this year. Thank you very much! Good luck to you!
