Every year I get so excited to decorate for Fall! I'm always ready for summer
to be over (at least since we moved to Texas) and for cooler temps to show up,
little by little.
Adding warm and comforting tones and layers to our home during the Autumn
months is a great way to prepare for all the cozy that winter brings!
I hope you find lots of fun ideas as you tour my Fall home.
Fall home ideas tour
Living Room
We love hanging out in our cozy living room! And I can't wait until it's cold
enough to have a cozy fire every evening! I love decorating this room but
there's a lot going on with the fireplace, TV, and wall of bookshelves so I
try not to clutter it up too much (Mr DIY would totally disagree with me about
my definition of 'cluttered' lol!) when I decorate for the Fall.
You can see my
early fall mantel
here, and then how I simplified my mantel after I added my
DIY paper bag leaf garland.

Fall in the sunroom
Our sunroom is behind the living room. In fact, they share the double sided
brick fireplace. The sunroom is a cozy spot with a vintage style daybed piled
high with pillows just waiting to be enjoyed. It's one of our pup Millie's
favorite places for a good snuggle!
Fall blues in the sitting room
Our sitting room is kind of tucked away, so I get to really dress it up pretty
and this year I added pops of blue (my favorite color) for Fall. It's
beautiful with the antique pine hutch, antique arch window and farmhouse
floors.
Fall in the bedroom
Decorating our bedroom for the seasons is still something that's fairly new
for me (at least since we've lived in this home). Adding extra cozy layers and
pretty decor makes a really special place to relax and sleep! My fall decor is
very minimal in our bedroom, but I think it's just enough. It was really all
about the bedding and the pillows this Fall!
Fall bedroom new projects:
Fall in the dining room
I love celebrating the seasons in this room! I've spent years collecting
vintage white ironstone pieces and they are so fun to play with, reorganize
and decorate in my black painted hutch! I used lots of vintage and thrifted
finds for my table and it turned out really pretty.
I made a few slight modifications to dress up my dining table for
Thanksgiving, including making some easy place cards from maple leaves. The
mix of metallics and rustic natural items is a great choice for this time of
year!
Fall side table vignettes
I decorated a couple of side tables for fall using foraged items from my back
yard and down the block! They turned out so pretty and didn't cost anything!
I honestly didn't do much if any Fall decorating in our kitchen this year
besides adding a few pumpkins to the tiered tray by my coffee bar. It just
gets too crowded in there and I struggle to keep it clean without adding
additional decor!
That's a wrap on our Fall home tour. I hope you found some ideas to save and
use in your own home in the years to come! I would love to know which Fall
project or idea inspired you the most!
I enjoyed your Fall home tour! Thanks for sharing. I'm a newer follower and I can't wait to try some of the crafts you've posted.
