Happy New Year! It's always fun to take a look back at what your favorite
posts of the year were. I always find it interesting to see which ones made
your Top 10!
I fully intended to post this list at the end of 2021, but our family got
slammed with COVID and the to-do list was ignored!
I'm feeling much better today so let's get right to it.

No. 1 - How to Transform an Ugly Thrifted Vase with DIY Textured Paint
I'm not surprised this was your #1 favorite post! Textured paint was super
trendy this year, all over social media, and it seems as though everyone was
mixing up paint using baking soda. If you missed it, you can
get the tutorial here.
No. 2 - DIY Copper Magnolia Wreath from Paper Bags
This fun, easy and extremely affordable DIY wreath was one of my top favorite
projects of the year as well! It was highly satisfying to transform a pile of
paper lunch sacks into a beautiful wreath! You can
grab the full tutorial here, and if you missed it, I also made a paper leaf garland using a slightly
different technique.
You can find the paper leaf garland tutorial here.
No. 3 - How to Paint a Spindle Chair with Chalk Paint
Painting chairs can be tricky, especially ones with spindles! I shared lots of
tips for getting the best results.
Click here for the full tutorial.
No. 4 - Easy DIY Wood Finial Christmas Ornaments
I loved how these wood finial ornaments turned out, and it seems as though you
did too! The ornaments were inexpensive to make using simple wood beads and
finials from the home improvement store, and so easy to customize to match
your tree!
Head here for the tutorial if you missed it, and make sure to Pin it to your Christmas boards for
next year!
No. 5 - DIY Herringbone Coffee Table
If you missed this coffee table project, you must check it out! Mr DIY and I
are complete furniture building newbies! This coffee table started off as a
solution to disguise one we didn't like anymore and ended up being a
completely separate table that we're quite proud of!
See how we built it here.
No. 6 - Autumn Dining Room with Warm Golds
After decorating lots of dining tables for Fall, I have to say that this one
is my favorite so far! It all started with some inspiration pieces I spotted
at the thrift store, and I just went from there. If you love vintage dishes
and white ironstone, soft golds and fall textures, you're bound to be
inspired.
Be sure to check out all the details here.
No. 7 - 9 Creative Ways to use Baskets in Home Decor
Baskets have always made sense for organizing, but they can also be used for
functional decorating! In this post I shared 9 creative ways to decorate with
baskets and I'll bet you'll be surprised at some of these ideas!
See them all here.
No. 8 - Spring Home Tour
Adding colorful flowers and greenery to your home really wakes it up for
Spring and I'm so glad that my Spring home tour made the top ten!
See the whole tour here.
No. 9 - DIY Crochet Chain Pumpkins
Even if you don't crochet (I don't), you can easily make these adorable
pumpkins. The crochet chain is easy to do while you're watching TV, and I just
love the texture it added to these dollar store pumpkins! You can easily craft
a whole pumpkin patch of these cuties! Grab the tutorial here.
No. 10 - Collectible Santa Tree and Decorated Hutch
While I loved decorating all three of my trees this year, if I'm being totally
honest, I was most excited about this sweet Santa tree! Decorated with an easy
DIY garland, ornaments and Santa mugs, it just felt like Christmas! My antique
pine hutch was decorated with Santa mugs and vintage dishes.
You can see all the details here.
I hope you enjoyed taking this look back with me! 2022 promises to be a full
year, with lots of changes (more on that soon), and an abundance of projects!
