Hello friend! Have you started your Christmas baking yet? I know this is my family's absolute favorite time of the year, when their sweet tooth can be satisfied daily!
Christmas cookies, sweets and candy make your whole home smell like Santa's bake shop! I love to spend a day or two in the kitchen this time of the year with the twinkle lights on, Christmas music playing while baking our family's favorites! It's even better when my kids participate in the treat making and we can share laughs in the kitchen, surrounded by the scents of home and Christmas. Baking is a great way to banish boredom or a bad mood, and bring the family together, wouldn't you agree?
Christmas Cookies and Sweet Treats Virtual Exchange
Today I'm excited to join some blog buddies to bring your our favorite Christmas Cookies and Sweet Treats! Thank you to Kristy from At Home with Kristy for organizing this virtual cookie exchange! I know you're going to find lots of yummy ideas to save and try this year! Just look for the blue links below and when you tap on those, it will take you directly to each person's personal treat recipe.
Christmas treats for gifting
I love making a big batch of something delicious, packaging it up in clear cellophane bags, tying it with a pretty ribbon and gift tag, and sharing with our friends and neighbors during the holiday season.
My family loves this sweet and salty Christmas snack mix, filled with Chex cereal, pretzels, peanuts and a variety of M&Ms. It never lasts long in our home and it's a holiday sweet that everyone enjoys!
Last year, I made another version of this easy holiday snack mix by replacing the M&Ms with various dried fruits and nuts. It made for a more sophisticated mix that still looks festive, tastes amazing, and is pretty enough to gift!
You will find both versions of this sweet and salty, fruity and nutty Christmas snack mix at the link below, as well as the sheet of printable gift tags that I created. Both recipes make a giant bowl of snack mix so you'll have enough to enjoy as a family, as well as for sharing with others - especially if you make both recipes!
