My Fall kitchen transformed from the early Fall decor (with lots of blue) to a
more cozy and warm vibe, rich with copper, brown and soft whites.
I'm sharing Fall decorating inspiration and tips and hope you take something
away with you today!
Let's take a look at the early Fall decor in the kitchen, inspired by
this easy decoupaged DIY candle and my
no-sew blue gingham tablecloth.
I love how copper and blue look together, it is such a pleasing combination!
All of my copper pieces have been thrifted, picked up here and there as I find
them. For that matter, the majority of my blue and white vintage transferware
pieces have also been thrifted!
Thrifting for vintage dishes used to be so much fun, but now it seems as
though everyone is collecting, prices have gone up, and special pieces (at the
right price) are getting harder and harder to find.
I found the small flower and thistle stems at Michaels early in the season and
they spent several week in that ironstone jug.
I brought in the Fall wreath swag that I made for a beaded wreath a couple
years ago. I wanted to use it on the chippy arched window, but needed to turn
it upside down for the shape to look right. It was an experiment that I ended
up really loving. You can see how I put the florals together here
How to Make a Beaded Fall Wreath.
Copper is beautiful anytime of year, but I especially like it during the Fall
months. It has a richness that does so much to warm up a room!
Now that the weather is cooling off, I decided to switch up the table and
create a Fall centerpiece using the copper kettle and the floral stems.
As it usually does, one thing led to another and I found myself adding
pumpkins (including these
DIY sweater sleeve pumpkins) and velvet ribbon, rattan chargers and a wood slice.
This honestly might be my favorite table to date! It is so warm and inviting!
One of my favorite finds were these
brown and white check linen napkins. They're a generous size and wash up so beautifully.
I also couldn't resist grabbing these little mini Sherpa pumpkins. I found a
bag of six for 60% off at Kirklands. I really don't need more fabric pumpkins,
but these were too cute to resist!
A little stack of porcelain plates from Hobby Lobby holds one of my
DIY chunky drippy primitive tealights
that I made last year. Love the glow of candles, whether real or battery
operated, it just sets the tone.
